One Church, One Lord, One Baptism

The phrase, "the tip of the iceberg" refers to the fact that the majority of an iceberg cannot be seen because it is under water. Much of the church cannot be seen. We have our brothers and sisters the angels and saints in heaven. We have our brothers and sisters who are being sanctified and need our prayers. When we forget about the rest of the church we do ourselves a great disservice. When we pray for and seek the prayers of all of our brothers and sisters- those on earth, those being purified, and those in the heavenly glory our faith, hope, and love are strengthened. In the liturgy the whole church is united those on earth, those being purified, and those in glory. We are all together worshiping God and receiving God's love.
